Admitted to the bars of New York and the District of Columbia. Professor Morris has taught at The City College of The City University of New York (CUNY), the University of Pennsylvania, and Brooklyn Law School, as well as at Touro Law Center. He is a legal scholar and political scientist who has written, and continues to write, the history of some of America’s most important courts, often at the request of the judges of those courts. Among his sixteen books are histories of The U.S. Court of Appeals for The Second Circuit, The U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. District Court for the for The District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit of New York. He is also the co-editor of the seventh revised edition of the Encyclopedia of American History. He has authored briefs for cases argued in the Supreme Court of the United States and served as an expert witness in litigation involving student rights and the First Amendment. Professor Morris has been a Judicial Fellow and served for five years on the staff of Chief JusticeWarren Burger.
